Graduate students who are interested in applying for a Graduate Research Assistantship should inquire directly with the unit responsible for hiring. An inquiry can be by email or letter and should include

- Your expected date of graduation
- Your contact information, including
- daytime and evening phone numbers

- Your class schedule or other indication of the times that you are available for work
Depending on the department, there may be an official application and other information that you will be required to submit in order to be considered for a graduate research assistantship.
Generally hiring decisions about graduate research assistantships are made in the spring or summer for the following academic year, although a vacancies occassionally arise at other times.
