Jenk Jones of the last editor of the Tulsa Tribune, where he worked for nearly one-third of a century in various reporting and editing positions and covering state and U.S. politics (including eight national conventions), the U.S. space program, environmental affairs, prisons and sports, plus the state capital and Washington, D.C. The Tribune was Tulsa afternoon newspaper until it closed in 1992.
Like his father Jenkin Lloyd Jones, grandfather Richard Lloyd Jones, and uncle Richard Lloyd Jones Jr., he was a member of the Oklahoma Journalism Hall of Fame.
