Faces Collection
"People Just Like Me": A Photo Essay
Our smile is our face to the world. It is how we want others to know us ...it is our strategy for relating to people. But it is not really us. The real us is revealed when we are seen without a smile, when we are our most vulnerable selves, when we are not putting on a face for anyone.

These are people I don't know. They paused briefly, looked at my camera, and I clicked the shutter.

As I look at these faces now, I see myself in each one.
