People and Faces
from the ou-tulsa schusterman library multi-media exhibit
"one world, one people"
BACKGROUND:
At the invitation of the OU-Tulsa Schusterman Library I created a multimedia exhibit. The exhibit used five large video screens in the library's gallery, and in addition to the photo collections that were presented on the video screens were a selection of photographic artifacts including old cameras from different periods and examples of photos produced by these cameras. In addition, there were a number of photos contained in the electronic exhibits that were printed in large format and displayed in the gallery.
The original description from the exhibit said this:
"We live in a world of diversity. As we travel the globe, we meet people of different races and religions who have different ways of living.
Everywhere we go, however, we see that people share common basic human values ...and people everywhere enjoy the same simple pleasures.
The photos on the five screens of this exhibit were taken in more than 25 different countries. They illustrate examples of how people around the globe are different and yet how we are all the same.
We are one world and one people."
